Communication is Key

Did you ever try to make the string and cups telephone when you were little? I think I did this at least once with friends but I think we messed them up and gave up. Sometimes teachers would also have this as a teaching tool when teaching how the phone was invented. But now that I think about it I believe it taught us a much more important lesson than how the process of communication works and how the telephone was first thought up as. I think it was also meant to teach us just how important communicating with one another is no matter what the relationship between you and the other person is; whether you are mother and daughter, father and son, friends or peers, grandparent to grandchild, boyfriend and girlfriend...well I think you get the idea. Yesterday I was reminded just how essential it is to have open and honest communication with one another  when I received a call from my boyfriend. We have recently talked about seriously considering moving in together and we realized we hadn't come clean about our fears of doing so. While it is very thrilling and exciting to think of waking and falling asleep under the same roof everyday, with only ourselves to implement house rules, it is also a daunting thing to consider. For one we are MOVING IN TOGETHER and that is huge in itself, now add to that that we are both still living with our parents, it will also be our very first apartment PERIOD! So while fears may come off as doubt at first, it is perfectly normal to be shaking in your boots when you take away the fun and put down the steps on how to achieve what we have not set as our goal. He confessed he felt that question of "What if it's too soon?" nudging at the back of his mind and I confessed that I'm also scared of how things will actually play out and if I could still have my own independent plans I had set way before I met him. That being said, we both agreed to take things one at a time and focus on what we can control such as laying down a budget and making a list of what we truly need, not the stuff that would just be extra if available. It is better to keep the communication process than to keep quiet until we have already settled on a place and then decide to back out. It would be unfair to both of us. So remember, don't be afraid that you might be a joykill just because you decide to voice your opinions/ feelings. It might be worst if you don't.

And with that said, I'll sign off.
Communicating from a Starbucks window,

(P.S. Communicate with your comments :) )

Review: Crunch

So about a month ago I posted a blog on how I am deciding to become healthier and more active. I also said that I will be trying many gyms and starting out with Crunch. Well I have gone to Crunch and that's were my exploration ended....but it's not because I got lazy (as it may appear I have gotten with this blog, BUT I am working on that *pinky promise). It is because I fell in love with it muscle over burn LOL. So far I have gone an average of at least once a week because I get busy with work and school and sleep deprivation, but I try my best to go at least that one day a week to become more grateful toward myself. Believe it or not, it is the best way I could pamper myself. So far I have gone to the Antigravity Yoga (Wings) class and I LOVED IT!!!!!!! I have never done Yoga before period, so I was a little anxious about this class but I happened to have gone that day, so I said JUST GO FOR IT! And I am soooo happy I did! It was intense and I everything was sore the next day, but it was also relaxing and made me feel relaxed on soooo many levels. They have a lot of fun classes and this class was proof of it. You seriously felt like a kid swinging on those fabric swings and hanging upside down. I also happened to see Shenae Grimes that day LOL. But the point is I love this gym and I feel sooo much better about myself just by investing some time towards my health and body. I still have to work on my nutrition though which I feel needs much improvement. It is not that I constantly eat fast food, but I know that I could cut it down much more and eat more veggies. I have decided to actually write it down now and start experimenting with recipes, although I may have to wait two weeks once summer school ends so I know I have time to make my meals and more time to experiment with yummy foods. Also I think running from school to work makes me much more prone to buying a sandwich or just munching on whatever I can find and those foods are not always the best choice in terms of healthy. Now on another note, I want to start back on my goal to make my Youtube beauty videos, so any of you who read this don't be afraid to comment on what looks you would like me to do. I will also start playing more with polyvore, which I have become quite into in the past like week or so. Again, I will work on blogging and vlogging keep tuned!

Healthy is Awesome

Lately I have been on a major hunt for THE BEST GYM for me which is hard because I feel a bit intimidated and also because there are so many classes I want to try. Now my New Year's resolution has constantly be to get fit and healthy, but for whatever reason, either due to time constraints and sometimes just choosing the easy way out, it has been on the back burner eternally. Also, part of me not joining a gym sooner has been due to not having the money to cover it. Now from time to time I do workouts on the Wii which can be fun, but to be honest, at times glitches come up or it just gets really annoying that you are not a robot programmed to it. I have been to the gym once before when I was 16 using my mom's guest pass, and even though I had a pickle to pick with the treadmills, I loved it. I felt kinda grown up and like I was being productive about my health.  So thereby, I have started searching for the right gym that fits my interests and needs, and let me tell can be overwhelming. I have always wanted to try kickboxing so I know I will definitely be looking at that and also using the Zumba program for the Wii, I know I will be checking to see if the gyms offer Zumba or some sort of dance-inspired class.I have also recently found out about Cardio Barre and Piloxing which sound like sooo much fun. One of my main motivations is also to create something for me that allows me to sort of let everything out, like my "relax time". I also need to pay attention to distance and the class schedule. I babysit during the afternoons and will be having summer school from 8 to 11 am throughout the week except for Fridays so I want something either between school and work or after work. I am still unsure if I'd ever want the personal trainer experience, but we will see. I also need to search nutrition programs fit for me. Another obstacle in choosing what gym or studio would be best for my needs is to choose a chain, private, or women only gym. Thank God for free "trial" gym passes most of the gyms offer though. So first on my list is the Crunch on Sunset. Wish me luck on not looking like an out of shape idiot lol. I will report back on my experience as best I can =). If you have any comments or advice, feel free to share, thank you.

Love & lunges,

Apologies for Timing

I would like to apologize for my lack of postings this past month or so as well as the lack of new videos on Youtube. As the end of my semester comes to an end...tomorrow is my last day.... I have been quite busy. Also, I was busy looking for new jobs, which thankfully I have found a new one to better suit my needs and schedule. That being said, I will make a greater effort to at least blog twice a week and post videos once a week since my schedule will be lighter for the summer. If any of you have suggestions for the make up tutorials please post them here or on my Youtube account =) Anyways, thanks for your patience....expect a video within the next few days.

1st tutorial went up

Ok so after doing two haul videos on my youtube channel, I finally did a make up tutorial for a prom look. I actually did this look on myself when I went to prom two years ago (I actually went to 2 lol, but it was the same look). I know the lighting isn't all that great and I still need to work on that so if anyone wants me to redo the video, please let me know. This look is a bit of a twist on the smokey eye, instead of blacks and greys or taupes and browns, it is a reddish wine color and pretty simple to do. So here it is:

And here is what I used:

liquid foundation from Cargo (F-50 - soft sheer sandalwood)

blush and bronzer from Smashbox's style files master class (blush closest to Chiffon and bronzer closest to Suntan)

eye primer from Urban Decay

eyeshadows from the Sephora Collection ( in Aspen Summit and Mat (they seem to have taken this out so now its closest to Red Wine)

eyeliner and mascara from Maybelline (Line Stilleto liquid eyeliner in Blackest Black and Volum'Express Falsies Mascara in Very Black)

lipgloss from Covergirl (Lipslicks in Cutie, I am not sure if they still sell this, but it is a very shimmer light pink)

and now for my actual prom picture:
(my actual school prom, not my date's)

and here is a close up:

Easy, Breezy, COVERGIRL... wouldn't you want to be one?

OMG 2 posts in 1 day??!!!! You must be lucky. Well I am actually really excited for this campaign. I had forgotten I had signed up to be bzz agent which is basically a member of which is a website who signs you up for testing products. It is really fun and you get to try the products for free so long as you give an honest review and spread the word. I have used Covergirl before and I have really loved their mascara and their shadow pencils. If you love Covergirl, please comment below!

Sephora Haul

Ok so I wanted to actually do a video on feather extensions or a review on Maybelline's Stiletto Liquid Eye Liner, but then I got busy and the timing sought for another haul. So basically I had sister bonding time because my mom had been bugging me about how I haven't spent time with my sister, so I decided I would drag her to Pasadena with me. And we ended up having a blast. So here is the video.

So this is what we got:

Sephora Favorites LashStash (lmtd ed.)

Nars Lipstick in Red Lizard and Blonde Venus

Nars lip liner in Salsa

Make Up Forever Lipstick # 33

Stila Stay All Day waterproof liquid eye liner in carbon black

Too Faced Brow Envy Kit

SmashBox Style Files Master's Class kit (Eye shadow, eye liner , and cheek & lip palettes)

Face and Eyes Brush Set

You should be able to find all these items at your nearest Sephora or on their website

I have also decided to start setting aside Fridays as review video days so any suggestions leave them in the comments either on my youtube channel, video or here on the blog.

If you enjoy my blog and/or videos please subscribe, and for now toodles!

I'm back.....with a Youtube vid

So I know I have not posted for a year or so, but I am back and more willing to commit to at least 2 posts a week. I don't know how many people actually read my blog, but it is my form of venting, creating, expressing and well you get the picture. The point though is that I am back and what is going to keep me motivated now is that I decided to become a "true" Youtuber! I mean I actually decided to start making videos. I will post my video below and hope you enjoy it. It explains why I decided to make such an exciting decision. What I don't mention though is that a part of why I did it as well was because I have been feeling my girlyness kicking in again and also it is so much better for me to say what I want than typing it since I ramble ALOT. So without further it is:
